Documentation
Get Invoxa CRM installed, encrypted, shared on your LAN, and backed up.
1. Installation
Download the installer for your OS from the download page. On first launch, Invoxa requires a vault passphrase — the app is not usable without encryption enabled. Choose a passphrase you can store in a password manager.
2. Everyday usage
- Create customers with contact fields and tags.
- Add interactions on the timeline; set reminders when you need a nudge.
- Attach files to a customer when you store contracts or quotes.
- Use Settings to download a CSV template, import contacts, or export (passphrase confirmed when the vault is on).
- Lock the vault when stepping away; unlock to continue.
3. Intranet mode
- On the Host machine, enable Host mode and note the LAN address / port.
- Copy the bearer token into client machines (Settings → Client).
- Optionally restrict peers with an IP or CIDR whitelist.
- Clients connect only on the LAN — no public internet required.
Team tiers unlock LAN mode. Standalone licenses remain single-device offline.
4. Licensing
Without a license you can create up to 10 customers (CSV import counts). After purchase you receive a signed .lic file — activate it in Settings. Seat tiers: Standalone (1), Team (5), Large Team (25), Enterprise (custom). Deactivate a device before moving a seat.
5. Data backup
- Export CSV regularly for portable backups.
- Back up encrypted vault files from the app data directory when the vault is sealed.
- Store passphrase and license file separately from the backup media.
- Test restore on a spare machine before you need it.
6. FAQ
Does Invoxa need the internet?
No for core CRM and LAN sharing. Internet is only needed to download the app or complete a purchase.
Where is my data stored?
On the local machine (Host in intranet mode). Invoxa does not require uploading contacts to a cloud CRM.
What if I forget the passphrase?
Encrypted data cannot be recovered without the passphrase. Keep it in a password manager.
